Episode 42: The Jersey Devil

While many aspects of the legend seem too fantastical to believe, there have been hundreds of sightings of the Jersey Devil reported over the years. Is it possible that a rare, undiscovered species has taken up residence in South Jersey? Are all of the sightings hoaxes, or are people simply mistaking some other kind of animal for a demon? Or, as Harry Leeds, a former mayor and direct descendant of Mother Leeds claims, does a devil stalk the Pine barrens to this day?
